"Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it."  - Proverbs 22:6

PreK 3.5 - 4 years, 10 months as of Sept. 1

Preschool learners are eager to learn and to show what they know. Our curriculum gives your child plenty of opportunity to learn about themselves and the world God has made for them. We also make sure there is time for them to share what has been learned. Story recall and prediction, a beginning comprehension of the concept of time, shape generation and motor development milestones are just a few of the many goals of the preschool classroom. Teachers engage your child in small group lessons that build kindergarten readiness in reading, math, science and art. These lessons are designed to further develop emergent reading and writing skills and afford teachers the time for responsive feedback and individualized instruction. The balance between whole group learning and small group instruction provides your child with opportunities for peer interaction, building social competence needed for successful learning, while creative projects and imaginative play based on the learning concepts make each day engaging and fun!

Preschool 2.5 - 3.5 yrs. as of Sept. 1

These young learners are beginning to discover the value of language: they can carry on short conversations, empathize with others and follow 2-3 sentence instructions. In addition to the academic learning that is taking place, your child will be learning how to interact in the structure of a classroom. Their day will be woven throughout with lessons on the love of God, as well. Teachers will support and instruct your child in focusing on oral language with rhyming games, nursery rhymes, words and sounds. Math skills such as patterns, matching, and more complex shape recognition will be taught. Pre-emergent reading and writing skills are practiced to ready your child for the world of communication. Reading/listening centers are designed to help your child to build foundational literacy skills, follow stories and make predictions.

Toddlers 18mo - 2.5 yrs as of Sept. 1

Because we believe that learning begins when life starts, the same meticulous care has been taken in the development of curriculum for our youngest learners. Our toddler curriculum is founded on the same principles of learning as our preK program. It incorporates academic, physical and social-emotional learning and the foundations of the Christian faith into each day. The developmentally appropriate lessons are structured to engage your little one in learning and ‘learning to learn,’ building skills through fun lessons that engage in mind, body and spirit. Dramatic play, games with letters and numbers, stories, crafts, music and physical games are utilized to help your child create the foundation for a life of learning and a life with God.
